A single-cell transcriptomic atlas of the human ciliary body

Updated April 18, 2023

The ciliary body is required for the maintenance of intraocular pressure and immunity as well as vision accommodation. We report a comprehensive cell atlas of human ciliary body from single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNAseq) Overall design: Ciliary body tissues from human donor eyes were dissected and dissociated to yeild single cell suspension. ScRNAseq was performed using a BD Rhapsody system, followed by analyses of cell clusters, specific gene expression profiling and ligand-receptor pairs
